Though a mediocre show, I was really getting into ‘Carpoolers’ on ABC when the writers’ strike happened in Hollywood. So no new episodes happened similar to most shows. I just checked ABC.com to see if there was a new ‘Ugly Betty’ episode only to find that ‘Carpoolers’ was no longer an option for online watching.
According to an article I found, the writer says that only 6 episodes of it were ordered originally by ABC and they were waiting for the October premiere to see if it was a flounder or a catch. I thought- maybe it did not do well enough to pass the six episode test. So I went to IMDB and found that more than 6 (to my surprise since I’ve only seen six of them) had already been aired…. so where is it???
Maybe they’re not playing it online and have replaced it with more popular shows that are up and coming like ‘Samantha Who?’, but I am very sad to see it leave the internet. The only was I was able to catch it was via ABC.com. But now…. alas Carpoolers, if you did exist I shall never know. ::fist in air:: Why must you air at an inconvenient time like Tuesdays @ 8:30???
I hope you’re not canceled. I always end up on the one season or less ’sucky’ show bandwagon. It’s getting old.

UPDATE FROM JANUARY 10, 2008:
“The Seminar” aired on January 8th and there are two more episodes already recorded to air later this month. It is still unknown if the show is gone for good after that, but there are at least a few more episodes for us to enjoy until then. I will update more when it occurs.

If you looking into this I’m assuming you care about the show. Which means you should BE WATCHING THE NEW EPISODES and trying everything in your power to increase support. Recommend it to a friend, etc.
They’re still airing new episodes and until they stop- I’m not going to freak about it anymore and you shouldn’t either.

Just saw in EW the news of a new series (pparently not a good one) starring jerry O’Connell, so I guess that’s that. My wife and I loved Carpoolers, sometimes for the writing, but by far for the casting.Every major character worked on some level. It’s a shame.

Carpoolers was one of the best t.v. shows on. I can’t believe it got canceled!
